The Manchester City Archives has received a grant of $3,855 from the New Hampshire State Library's "Moose Plate" Grant fund to de-acidify, mend, rebind, microfilm and scan two volumes of the Record of Corporations/Articles of Agreement, 1838-1874.  These grants are awarded to New Hampshire cities and towns, libraries and historical societies to aid in the preservation of rare historic documents.

The Manchester Industrial Council was founded in 1950 to reduce local unemployment through the establishment of new businesses.  Grenier Field, now the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport complex, was one of their primary fields of endeavor.  A guide to the Grenier Field records can now be seen on the Manchester Archives website.

The Ward Room served as a place where election warrants could be posted and candidates were nominated for office.  All election activities took place within the confines of the ward room from the actual voting to the tabulation of ballots.
